Weapon Beating Guide
Ruby Weapon
Ruby Weapon is the EASIEST Weapon to beat, even though you have to fight it with only on character. First of all, this is what you'll need to battle Ruby Weapon:

I find it easier to use Cloud to fight Ruby Weapon, so use him.
First Equip the Items, link Knights of the Round with HP Absorb, Phoenix with Final Attack, and Hades, HP Plus', W-Summon, and Mime Wherever you like. And Put Enemy Skill on anybody else.
Those are the bare minimum's if you're willing to take a risk, take out Final Attack and Phoenix. You can fill up the rest of the empty Materia Slots with whatever you like, EXCEPT COUNTER ATTACK.
Procedure
Before anything happens have, whoever, cast Big Guard. Then have everyone do NORMAL ATTACKS. Now comes the annoying part of the battle, PRAY! Pray to god that Ruby doesn't Sand Whirl Cloud. If he does then reset and start again.
Once you get Cloud one on one with Ruby, Do normal attacks until he sticks his tentacles into the ground (use Elixirs if he hits you during this time). Once his Tentacles are in the ground, W-Summon Hades on Ruby Weapon and Knights of the Round on the tentacles. Hades will poison, slow, and stop Ruby and Knights of the round will kill the tentacles the first time around and heal Cloud to the boot (The tentacles will stay behind you for most of the battle since Ruby is stopped and can't retract them). Now just mime again and again and again. Don't worry if he hits you with Ultima or Comet 2, Mystile will back you up and Ruby will be Slowed, you'll get enough time to mime Knights of the Round and get your HPs back.
